Why Greystone House?

Small
School

Rather than building a big box to fill with students, we focus on building an environment to sustain relationships. Our school is smaller than what you may be used to and we think this is the best way to do things. Being small means it is easier for us to do three things that matter.

First – we use our size to get to know our families better. Nobody is a number at Greystone House. When you walk up to the school we want you to know who you are talking to, what their role is and how they interact with your child.

Second – we use our size to build community. Traditionally we have held a number of community events every year including a Halloween carnival, a winter festival, a fall outing, an Easter egg hunt and a luau. We also have Mother’s Day Tea and Father’s Day breakfast where the children serve Mom and Dad. Beyond providing a way for the children to interact outside of the school, these events are a way for parents and families to connect with each other face to face. Many of our families have been with us for years and getting to know them is a great way to quickly be able to navigate the school.

Finally – these things allow us to be better parenting partners. We are in this because we know how hard it is to be working parents. From the time you drop off until the moment you pick up you can be sure that you are leaving your child with people who care and are there to support you.
