In a world where a weekend training put on by a franchise grants someone a credential, we like to think that we have a lot of value. Our Directresses are career professionals that are trained independently and then complete a year-long internship and observation period. Many of our current staff qualify as master teachers. Not only are they outstanding guides for the children in the classroom, they are also tremendous resources for parents to lean on.

We strive to create an environment where our staff is encouraged to stay and grow in place. While we would never stand in the way of someone wanting to pursue a new opportunity, for those who earn their place in our schools we try to make it hard to go anywhere else. In one of our schools the average tenure of our senior staff is 15 years. When you tour day cares be sure to ask how stable the staff is in your child’s environment.

Because we use professional staff it means that our assistants are also trained better. We watch carefully for junior staff that shows promise and support them in their career growth. Many of our assistants have gone back to school to become Montessori Directresses. This is part of our philosophy of building early childhood education careers rather than daycare jobs.
